Jorge varela

Jorge Varela was born in 1964
in Madrid. In 1986 he graduated from the School of Design at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. In 1994 he founded his own design studio in Madrid, which initially dealt mainly with interior design and development of residential projects in Spain, Belgium, Germany
and Latin America.

Since 2001, Jorge Varela began cooperation with such well-known brands as Loewe, Chanel, Celine, etc., creating designer
and architectural objects, as well as working
over projects of exhibitions. In 2007, he began to design his own furniture line for various brands.
In 2013, in collaboration with Cartier, he designed and curated the Art of Cartier exhibition at the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum in Madrid. In 2017 Jorge presented an exclusive art and design collection of furniture ¨Kabinet¨
at the Art Basel Fair in Switzerland.
